It certainly makes you realise the quite incredible rise and rise of Google when you take into account the latest news that they will take more in ad revenue this year than Channel 4 (one of the UK's top ad supported TV channels). Within another 18 months they're expected to overtake ITV1 (the UK's top terrestrial ad supported channel).
Now if news like this doesn't drive it home to marketeers and brand owners just how powerful a force the web is for getting your brand out there I don't know what will.
Of course, factor in the new potential of YouTube etc and they could overtake ITV1 much quicker!
