I'm beginning to wonder whether I am safe... I have a Sony Vaio and as yet Sony haven't recalled my battery. I find this amazing that Dell, Apple, Lenovo and Toshiba have all recalled millions of batteries between them but no recall from Sony.

Does this mean that Sony use a better class of battery in their own brand laptops, or perhaps they only go wrong when masquerading under another manufacturers logo :)

Come on Sony, tell us all the truth, is this going to affect every Sony laptop as well?? Your PR agency have one hell of a job on their hands to get some good will back after this farce!

Edit: Sony have now announced a recall of 7 to 10 million batteries globally!!
